So I've read Twilight
Nov. 23rd, 2011 01:30 pmIt was just as hilarious as I thought it would be, and quite readable, too, despite the obvious faults (readability doesn't equal good writing).
I feel tempted to write a longer review of it, but others have actually said it better.
Annoying, self-centered, Mary-Sue heroine? Check. Bad writing? Check. Ridiculous story? Yes. No plot whatsoever and an artificial climax out of nowhere? Check. Descriptions of every dull thing Bella did? Check.
To be just, if it wasn't as big as it is, I wouldn't probably find it that bad, but it seems like a miracle that something this poor can be so popular.
Still I want to read more to find out whether it gets worse. Judging from the movies and people's opinions I expect it does.
